About PCA

The Pennsport Civic Association is made up of a diverse group of individuals who are working to improve the quality of life and standard of living in Pennsport, through the following goals and objectives:

• Make Pennsport a safer place to live and work
• Promote home ownership
• Promote and support recreational and educational activities
• Monitor zoning in the community
• Work to rehabilitate vacant and abandoned buildings and lots
• Work together with Pennsport businesses to enhance the community
• Promote block cleanups
• Institute and maintain block captains
• Promote and educate adherence to litter, sanitation and leash laws
• Clean up and deter graffiti
• Beautify Pennsport; revitalize the spirit of Pennsport pride;
• Eliminate short dumping in our neighborhood; especially in lots and under I-95
• Work with our neighboring community organizations to strengthen all of Southeast Philadelphia (Whitman, Queens Village, Passyunk Square, Bella Vista, etc.)
