Pennsport Civic Home

Pennsport is a great place to live. We are bordered by Washington Avenue on the north, the Deleware River on the east, Snyder Avenue on the south, and Fourth Street on the west side. Our community offers a high quality of life to all of our residents. We have low crime, a stable housing market, ample parking, access to a majority of city sites and hard working politicians representing our interests. We also have a committed group of volunteers working hard to alleviate problems.

IMPORTANT - Make Your Voice Heard!!!

What will GAMBLING in Philadelphia mean for we the people?

With the recent legalization of gambling in Pennsylvania there are plans to build gambling parlors along Columbus Boulevard in our neighborhood.

The traffic in our neighborhood, especially on weekends, is already congested because of the new shopping center at Columbus and Snyder that house major stores such as Ikea and Best Buy. The addition of these parlors will only serve to increase the gridlock in our backyard!

Click the image to watch a time-lapse video of Saturday afternoon traffic along Columbus Boulevard.

Please help us block the construction of gambling facilities in our neighborhood. Take a moment to sign our secure on-line petition to let developers know where we stand!

Note: Even if you live in Whitman or Queens Village you can still sign our petition! We want YOU to be heard along with us!
